Nu-Smoke
Asked by visitor on 2012-07-30 11:56:20

Do you have any comparison info on www.nu-smoke.net ?

Tags: Nu Smoke tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2012-07-30 15:47:06

Sorry, but I never heard of Nu Smoke. The website looks very generic and they clearly try to "copy" the most popular brand blu cigs. I would buy blu cigs over this unknown brand.

e-cigarette not charging
Asked by visitor on 2012-02-15 08:35:53

I charged my ecig all day and its just not working. It worked a few times and then it just does nothing. This is only day two it doesn't even light up when I plug it into my computer. Am I doing something wrong?

Tags: charging tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2012-02-15 08:36:26

This is difficult to trouble shoot. It could be the connection between battery and cartridges. Try to loosen or tighten the connection.
Please also contact the actual seller of the product.

Non smoker with asthma
Asked by visitor on 2011-06-29 03:24:20

Mama suggested that I get a e cigarette to treat my asthma. I am a non smoker, but she says I can get a kit that doesn't have nicotine. And I can get one that has chocolate and other flavors instead of the nicotine. Nothing else works for my condition. Tried inhalers and pills. I need to know where I can pick up a kit, how much it will cost, and what are my choices. I am low income, so cheap is good. I would also like to know the ingredents to the flavors because I have allergies to artificial sweetners. If this works for me then I have several friends I can spread the word to. One is a smoker that is trying to quit.

Tags: asthma tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2011-06-29 14:30:20

electronic cigarettes are not for non smokers. Please do not start using e-cigarettes - even with zero nicotine! I also do not see how an e-cigarette would treat asthma.

Answered by Owen on 2011-04-27 12:20:21

the instructions here pretty much work for SmokeTip as well.
http://www.ecigarettes365.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=378

Two notes:
1) the SmokeTip rubber cap is a little more difficult to remove
2) there is an additional plastic ring below the rubber cap. Simply remove it to see the wool. Replace it at the end.

electronic cigarettes and pregnancy
Asked by visitor on 2011-04-20 22:00:05

Can my pregnant wife use e cigarettes, in replace of smoking, during her pregnancy?

Tags: pregnancy tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2011-04-20 22:00:51

Sorry, but I am not qualified to answer your question. Obviously the best and right thing for your wife to do is to quit smoking. Electronic cigarettes still deliver nicotine which is addictive.

Lava Smoke Brand
Asked by visitor on 2011-04-20 14:08:28

Local merchants are selling the brand Lava Smoke but none have much information about it. The website is also devoid of meaning data. Do you guys know anything about it?

Tags: Lava Smoke tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2011-04-20 14:15:38

Hi!
It seems like every day someone invents a new brand. I have not heard of lava smoke at all. Most of the store sold brands are cheap imports from China with very little quality assurance and expensive refill cartridges.
Fact is that all electronic cigarettes come from China but the established brands either produce the smoke juice here in the US or strictly control quality in Chinese factories.
I can only recommend you to pick an e cigarette brand with solid ratings from our buying guide.

Vapor
Asked by visitor on 2011-01-06 10:01:21

If I purchase the no-nicotine cartridges - will I still have a good vapor with it, and also, if I went with the menthol - does it contain nicotine?

Tags: tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2011-01-06 10:13:32

Based on what I know zero nicotine cartridges should produce the same amount of vapor and menthol cartridges do contain nicotine (usually come in various strength). However, please validate all this with the seller of the product.

eSmoke made in USA?
Asked by visitor on 2010-12-12 02:25:15

Esmoke.net claims they are USA Manufactured, and their liquid is made in the US. What does this include? Do they make the batteries, cartridges, and the nicotine in the US? What do they make or don't? I've contacted many different electronic cigarette companies and they all claim they manufacture everything in china and that "NO ONE" makes any electronic cigarettes in the US. What do I make of all this?

Tags: tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-12-12 12:12:52

Please understand I am not in a position to validate nor question any claims a manufacturer makes!

As far as I know eSmoke only claims that their liquid is USA made and that the cartridges are filled in the USA. The fact that their batteries / cartridges are compatible with other brands tells me that they are made in China just like anyone else.

Cartridges and Temperature
Asked by visitor on 2010-11-22 04:13:53

Since the cartridges contain water will they freeze and or break if left in a car in extreme weather (hot or cold) conditions?

Tags: cartridges tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-11-22 10:45:10

cartridges don't just contain pure water so I don't know if they will freeze above or below 32 degrees. In general you should store cartridges in a cool, dark, and dry place. Keep them away from heat and light!

Propylene Gycol
Asked by visitor on 2010-10-28 11:12:17

I bought GreenNicotine e cigs. I thought they were great until I became extremely depressed, and found out that inhaling the PG can do this. I would like to try one without the PG. Who makes one without it? There was a small disclaimer about how you shouldn't use this product if you are depressed or on anti-depressants but I ignored it. It is a serious side effect!

Johnson Creek offers low PG and non-PG smoke juice.

Local Smoke Shop
Asked by visitor on 2010-10-27 12:31:20

My local smoke shop sells electronic cigarettes. Should I buy an electronic cigarette there or online?

Tags: smoke shop tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-10-27 14:45:53

Hi! You should evaluate the quality, features, and price of the electronic cigarette kits offered in your local smoke shop to those offered online. Often online prices are lower and free shipping is offered. However, supporting you local smoke shop is something nice to do and the folks in the smoke shop may be able to offer you advice and good customer service.

Tobacco "M" is Marlboro flavor and Classic Tobacco is a generic tobacco flavor.

hard to draw
Asked by visitor on 2010-10-17 21:10:21

I just got my e-cigarette and I have to suck really hard to get any vapor(smoke). Not like smoking a real cig.! Is it the brand I bought or is that normal for e-ciggs????

Tags: draw tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-10-17 21:16:34

this is not normal. A few brands' cigs are harder to draw but this is not typical.

I got many brands here such a South Beach Smoke, eSmoke, blu, Vapor King, and Cirrus and they are easy. GreenSmoke is a little harder to draw.

Which brand did you buy?

Deluxe Package
Asked by visitor on 2010-10-15 06:44:00

Do you need to charge the unit when you first receive it or does it come already charged? How do you tell what flavor a cartidge is? If you wish to change a cartridge do you need to wait until you have used the entire cartridge or can you change them out before it is empty? Thank you, Wendy

Tags: flavors tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-10-15 09:49:00

most vendors ship their kit with charged batteries. Please check the manual or the getting started guide. The flavor is often indicated on each cartridge with a letter, i.e. V for vanilla. But it depends on the brand. Sometimes only the box with the cartridges indicates the flavor and nicotine level.
Yes, you can switch to a different cartridge at any time. Just store all used or unused cartridges in a dark place away from sunlight and heat.

CARTRIDGES TASTE
Asked by visitor on 2010-10-12 10:06:48

I have a 4081 and I have tried different flavors but they all taste the same to me and the taste isn't very satisfying. I have cleaned the atomizers and used new atomizers to no avail. what am I doing wrong? There can't be that many sastisfied people out there if i'm not doing something wrong. Is there one brand of e-cig that have outstanding flavor compared to others? thank you in advance

Tags: flavors tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-10-12 11:37:35

I personally think that all brands' flavors are somewhat weak. It is not like a chewing gum or lollipop :) In my opinion most smokers switch to ecigs for the nicotine and for continuing the physical act of smoking.

die of smoking
Asked by visitor on 2010-10-10 12:30:34

I don't want to die of smoking! Will electronic cigarettes be healthier for me? Do they still contain tar?

Tags: tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-10-11 10:59:25

I can not make the claim that cigs are healthier because I do not have scientific evidence. But I personally believe that they are a a better alternative to tobacco cigarettes. They do not contain tar nor tobacco. Many ecig users have reported that they feel better since they started vaping.

Battery Life
Asked by visitor on 2010-10-09 19:42:04

How long can I expect the rechargeable battery to last? I don't mean before it has to be recharged, but rather how many recharges before the battery must be replaced. Thanks.

Tags: battery life tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-10-10 12:08:12

Excellent question! The expected lifespan of an electronic cigarette battery is 2-6 months depending on how often you use it and how you care for it (i.e. avoid long exposure to sunlight, heat, etc).

American made
Asked by visitor on 2010-10-09 15:05:17

Is there an e cig out there that is totally manufactured in the US? I see a lot of companies say their smoke juice and cartridges are made in the US, but what about the atomizers and other components? I'm not too concerned about the batteries, chargers, etc., but if the atomizers are imported, are they safe? Do they contain unsafe metals that may leech toxins?

Tags: Safe Cig | USA made tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-10-09 15:26:59

Sorry, your questions are beyond my horizon :)

I am not aware of any company making atomizers here in the US. I am not a scientist and I do not test products for unsafe metals and I don't know of any reports on this topic. Sorry :)

As far as I know The Safe Cig runs their own manufacturing in China to ensure quality control. They do not simply buy their components from China.

The best electronic cigarette?
Asked by visitor on 2010-09-21 15:40:20

There are so many options. I am new to e-smoking. What is the best electronic cigarette?

Tags: best electronic cigarette tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-09-21 15:42:29

Hi! There is no "best electronic cigarette" there is only an ecig that is "best for you". Seriously, it really depends a little on you and what you prefer.
The fact is that most ecigarette models basically work the same way. In a nutshell, a battery powers an atomizer which vaporizes a nicotine/water solution that is inhaled by the user. The main differences are in overall quality/dependability as well as special/extra features that may appeal to you depending on your personality and needs.

Do you plan to refill your cartridges? If so, buy a 3 piece design.
Do you want it to look fake or realistic? Get a blue/green LED or a red LED ...
Do you want cartridges with Chinese made smoke juice or USA made smoke juice?
Read this buying guide and you should be well prepared to buy the best electronic cigarette for you!

electronic cigarette experience
Asked by visitor on 2010-09-19 11:06:36

What is it like smoking one? What does an e-cigarette taste like? How much does it cost? How is the throat hit? How does it compare to a regular cigarette and is it safer?

Tags: cost | taste | throat hit tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-09-19 12:15:48

What is it like smoking one?
The electronic cigarette delivers nicotine and let's you experience the physical action of smoking. I like it!

How much does it cost?
About $50-$150 for a starter kit.

Where can I buy it?
It really depends on where you live. You may find them in a mall near by. The easiest way is to buy it online.

What does an e-cigarette taste like?
I personally think that it tastes better and cleaner than tobacco cigarettes. You can get 100s of flavours for your electronic cigarette.

How is the throat hit?
It depends on the e-cigarette brand and the amount of nicotine in the e-liquid. Many e-smokers like the throat hit they get.

How does it compare to a regular cigarette and is it safer?
It feels cleaner, no odor, and allows you to still continue with your smoking habits. Without the tar and 1000s of carcinogens it should be safer (just my opinion) but no studies have been done to confirm this (as far as I know).

electronic cigarettes in stores
Asked by visitor on 2010-09-18 12:12:43

Where can I buy an electronic cigarette in Arizona? What stores sell electronic cigarettes?

Tags: store purchase tweet this

Answered by Owen on 2010-09-18 12:57:21

There are a few stores or little places in malls that sell electronic cigarettes but it varies by state. For now the best way is to get an ecig is online. Online also offers the largest variety.

Some brands have a 30 day money back guarantee so testing out a starter kit can be done without financial commitment.

Our e-cigarette buying guide lists a variety of brands with reviews from real users. It is a good starting point for your research even if you end up buying your ecig in the mall or so.

ARE ALL CARTRIDGE INERCHAGEABLE WITH DIFFERENT E-CIGS

Tags: cartridge compatibility tweet this

no, not all cartridges are interchangeable. No cartridge from a 2 piece ecig (atomizer and cartridge combined called cartomizer) is ever compatible to a cartridge from a 3 piece ecig (cartridge and atomizer are separate). Some brands are compatible since their e-cigarettes are based on the same model. Example: Smoke 51, Green Smoke, and Red Dragon.

e-cigarette without nicotine

yes, pretty much all ecig companies offer cartridges without nicotine. What you exhale will look like smoke but is actually vapor. For filming this should work.

South Beach, SmokeTip, GreenSmoke

Not sure which brand has glove flavor but most allow other flavors on first order.

yes, you can refill SmokeTip cartridges. The process would be similar to what is outlined here:

However, Smoketip is a 2 piece ecigs which means that atomizer and cartridges are combined. 3 piece ecigs with a separate atomizer are more ideal for refilling.

0 nicotine flavors for non-smokers
Asked by visitor on 2010-08-16 19:20:55

I notice that there are 0 nicotine flavors. Would it be stupid for a non-smoker to want to use the e-cig to get 0 calorie effects of the flavorful juices? I looked up the lewhiff chocolate inhaler being that\'s being marketed as a chocolate-craving fulfilling experience. But it is so expensive and non-refillable. The idea of the e-cig appeals to me on a relaxation level. Do the flavors actually 'taste' good? If so, what would be the harm in using the 0 nicotine flavors as a pleasant relaxation for a non-smoker? Just wondering? btw, I'm 54--not a kid.

In general I tell non-smokers to stay away from ecigs since they are not a "toy" but an alternative to smoking tobacco. I would recommend the same to you.

The flavors (in my opinion) are good but not too strong. Don't expect a full flavor. I don't think it would fulfill your chocolate cravings ... :) But you can give it a try - especially since many companies offer a 30 day money back guarantee ...

DEG Free

What is DEG? Esmoke is the only brand that has DEG free, but I cant find anything about it

DEG is Diethylene glycol. Cartridges made in China contained traces of DEG. US made smoke juice has stricter rules and lab tests. DEG should not be in cartridges.

DirectEcig
Asked by visitor on 2010-07-18 12:14:55

I just received a DirectEcig. I don't know if this typical of ecigs. The after taste was awful. I have to draw 2-3 times before i can get a decent draw. very little vapor. and the battery life sucks (no pun intended).. I was really looking forward to vaping and am disappointed. Is there a site that shows reviews that are not by manufacturers? I'd love to try one that would fit my needs, but have a starter kit again,so I can try it. appreciate your response.

All e-cigs I know of are made in China. Only some companies like Cloud 9, Amerismoke, or eSmoke have cartridges filled with US made smoke juice.
