Not allowed to smoke indoors

I have been using E-cigarettes for the several months and have noticed that it is not favored by non-smokers. I went to go eat at a restaurant the other day (El Torrito) and the waiter comes over and tells me that I cannot smoke in the restaurant. I spent about 5 minutes trying to convey to him that I am not smoking tobacco and their isn’t any second hand smoke and showed him that it’s not even lit up like a real cigarette. He called the manager over who told me that I cannot smoke in the restaurant due to the non-smokers in the facility. I still believe people are not aware of what an E-Cigarette is. I have been to several other locations, including Bars and Clubs that will not allow me to smoke my E-Cigarette inside, I still have to go to the smoking Patio since my E-Cig produces a “smoke”.

Ignorance is Bliss...It's also Assuming...And then there are those that see themselves as the enforcers. "Oh my, someone's breaking the rules; I must complain even though I don't know what I'm talking about."
Kind of reminds me of smoking a Passion Flower cig in a restaurant when I was a teenager. All the staff came and dumped the ashtrays and disappeared to the back looking for the roach. I had a blast with those things. Smelled just like pot!

All you can do is suck it yup and not argue. It is their place of venue, your exhaust does look like smoke...Think of the problems you could cause when uninformed - ignorant smokers see you getting away with "smoking" (even though you're Vaping).

I have only just ordered mine today but before my friend mentioned it today i had never heard of it so it does not surprise me that people don't believe you.

I've found that most people seem to ignore it and don't bother confronting me. I don't hide my e-cig use but I don't flaunt it either. I'm still waiting for someone to come up to me and say "you can't smoke in here" so I can tell them I'm not smoking but that's good to know if I ever pick up that nasty habit again
