Hello everyone!
So after smoking blu disposables for a week (which honestly...kick sooo much ass its unbelievable) I decided to finally invest in a rechargable pack.
I got my Volcano kit yesterday, and was EXTREMELY excited. I even left the physics lab EARLY so I could catch the Fed Ex guy and get it from him. My boyfriend also ordered from them and got the white standard kit. Here is how it's been the last day and today:
--PCC pack has charged my batteries about 10+ times, which is really awesome. So the PCC is actually very good at what it does. I think the little calculator-ish light that shows battery life on the front could be made into something a lot "cooler" looking...but...whatever. It works and is accurate of battery life.
--I chose "light" Vanilla bean. It doesnt taste much like vanilla but more like banana. I didnt like it too much when I first vaped but it's ok now. Just saying. Dont expect ice cream, expect fruit.
--The cigarette itself doesnt hold much battery for a while. I think I can have about 3 "vape sessions" before the battery dies. Not too concerning considering the batteries are tiny and its a small cigarette. The PCC does its job well so its not too bad. Would be nice if I could get 5 vape sessions out of a charge but I think thats how much I can expect from just this battery size in general.
--My USB charger tells me my battery is charged all the time when I know its not, ie: I JUST got the blinky light of doom on my battery to charge and put it into the USB and the USB says "take it off! Youre good!". Lies! Its not. I dont know what the deal is with that. My boyfriends also functions the same way.
--One of my batteries functions much better than the other. Why, I have no idea. Except that is really annoying. They should both function as good as the other. I have to vape MUCH harder on one of then. Very weird indeed.
--My boyfriends white colored batteries are all threaded oddly so when you put the cartomizer on, they are oh-so-slightly crooked. Looks kinda weird but they work. They are also VERY pretty on the other hand
--My PCC packs charging port is SLIGHTLY skewed so when the pack itself needs to charge I have to literally MOVE the port with a pen to align it properly with the USB cord. THAT really sucks. Im scared Im going to break it.
--There is something really weird Volcano is doing with their batteries and its that they have 4 spaces in the battery. When you put in the carto there is a LOT of air getting through. I know this for cooling down the temperature of the cig itself, but its overkill. You have to suck REALLY hard to get anything out. I feel as if you are taking in a lot more air than vapor. A solution I am doing is using my fingers to cover some of these holes (not enough to completely cover them all but just a couple). The vapor and hit is MUCH better this way. I really think they need to cover up some of those air gaps.Its just way too much. You only need one! PLUS the Volcano cartos themselves have a hole in them to cool them off. This also might be why the cartos last so long...
--Next point is the cartos DO last a while, but I feel its because of all that damn air your sucking in! I had one carto and it lasted me all day yesterday and half of today and that was with me vaping for a bit to try everything out.
--Bad news also is that 2 of my cartos DIDNT work. Like they didnt even produce vapor, they were totally dead. I had to resort to my boyfriends "FULL" flavored Menthols (which by the way, have a hint of lime in them and are ABSOLUTELY delicious, if it werent for the insane amount of nicotine that I am not used to).
--It seems that the best vape sessions I get are, obviously, when I have JUST charged the battery. Even if the carto is half used the hit is very good but it will only last one session.
The menthol cartos tasted awesome and also produced more vapor, so Im wondering if my vanilla lights were not the way to go. Ive read "heavier" nicotine cartos usually vape better. Thats kinda interesting, why is that?
Anyway, Im getting a blu kit used for $50 on Saturday, hes throwing in 5 carto packs of my beloved Johnsons Creek menthol flavor (yay!) and if Blu does ANYTHING better for me than all these problems I am having with Volcano then I am seriously never taking a bad review from them to heart again. I only chose Volcano over Blu because of awful reviews. So far Im not sure if Volcano is really any better because Im pretty close to returning it based on all these little inconsistencies, but we shall see. The thing that is making me the MOST angry is the PCC charging port being off-center. Come on guys
