I've used the micro and original model and I definitely prefer the original. The micro is nice because it's smaller/lighter but the battery dies much quicker than the original. I like to feel the vapor when I inhale and the micro just doesn't produce a strong enough vapor for me. It might be because the micro refills are only available in 18 mg and I typically purchase the 24 mg refills for my original this product. Overall, it's ok but it's basically a backup e-cig for me & I use the original the majority of the time.

Really high variability rate when it comes to quality of cartridges. Some last awhile and taste great, but many taste funky, are weaker, and don't have as much life in them.

More importantly, the customer service is t e r r i b l e. They say products ship within 48 hours of processing, but it can take up to a week for them to process. I emailed to complain and got Zero sympathy from the company.

I do not recommend.

Shame, shame, shame.
I've been using thesafecig's product for over 6 months and I cannot believe there is a better PRODUCT on the market. Unfortunatly the customer service and problems with inventory are so terrible that Im shopping for an alternative (V2 is leading the way so far) and Im prepared to pay the $60 starter kit cost just to get away from thesafecig.
Over the phone their order dept. cannot check on order status, they direct you to email the company and then do not respond to emails. Recently they have ran out of refill cartridges over and over again.
It doesnt matter if you have the best product on the market if your customer is stuck with no refills for weeks at a time.

this device USED to be a good company. Their product was consistent and of good quality. This has recently changed. For months in the summer of 2011 this brand was plagued with out-of-stock issues on cartridges. Cartridges would arrive with minor defects and had inconsistent "fills" which affected the length of time each cartridge would last (given your smoking habits remained constant). Most recently they have changed their packaging while they offer 2 more cartridges per box, the price has increased making it much more expensive. A year ago, I would have told you I was their best customer. But now... what a difference, for the worse. I strated buying e-juice and refilling my own SafeCig cartridges. It's not quite as good but at least it's consistent, I don't have to wait, and I'm saving far more money then before. Sorry this ecig. Please turn to whatever marketing genius in your company decided to change what your were doing then slap the heck out of that person(s). Kiss this customer goodbye!

Susie commented on December 16 2011:
After much research several months ago, I chose This e-cigarette to try an e-cig for the first time. Loved it, loved everything about it, so I bought an extra battery. Then the batteries began to decline. Charging time increased at the same rate as the usage time decreased. So bought 3 more batteries at $26 each. The first two older batteries are still working somewhat okay, but all three new batteries have been replaced three times already. They are nearly useless. I have ordered cartridge refills several times since the beginning and had no major complaints until my last order. None of the new carts are full and the majority are almost empty. I also noticed they had replaced the rubber caps with paper tape, which is likely allowing the juice to evaporate. At first, one cart lasted about a day. With this last shipment, one cart lasts about 2 or 3 hours at best. At $2.50 per cartridge, the cost of vaping this e-cigs is double or triple the cost of regular tobacco cigarettes. I wrote to them about it via email several days ago and have not heard a word from them yet. I will start buying juice and refill the carts, but here is where they sting you. You must have bought refills from the company within the last 90 days or you can not return their useless batteries for free replacement of more useless batteries. This company sold a good product at one time, but they have shot themselves in the foot by sending out cheap, refurbished batteries and replacing the rubber caps with thin paper tape. There are smarter companies selling better products at lower prices. Bye bye this product!

I have stopped smoking completely since I have received my SAFECIG. I use the 14mg menthol refils and have found taste and amount of vapor acceptable. I have had a problem with battery life,I have four that I use in rotation and with clogged refils.I have had problems with availability of my preferred flavor and nicotine level, but on the whole am pleased with the product.

Battery life is decent. I bought the deluxe kit with three batteries, so I'm always covered. Vapor is plentiful -- I got the "traditional" variety as opposed to the "classic" and it does have a tobacco-taste. Not sure how authentic it really is, but it's close enough. I haven't had any of the customer service issues (YET), but they were out of 14mg refills when I ordered = poor planning, poor management. It was a bit pricey compared to some of the options, but I've always believed that you get what you pay for -- I'm giving the electronic cigarette one shot, so I didn't want to skimp. If they can work out their customer service and quality control problems, this will probably be the best on the market... Until then, I'm still giving them 3 stars because at the end of the day, the product works, and that's really all I care about.

Terrible customer service, so so product. The refills seem to have quality issues. Some are fine, others are too vanilla-y....one of my batteries doesn't work right and they won't ship me a new one first. I ordered refills on 8/8 and didn't get them until yesterday. I'm seriously disappointed with their lack of customer service. Emails are all canned responses and no one seems to have any authority. I've ripped them on their facebook page a few times and no one seems to care. I'm considering a blu cig once I run out of refills now.

nikkiw commented on September 20 2011:
I am so glad that you said that about the quality! it is so aggravating to open a brand new cartridge and get no vapor out of it! i have finally had enough and am waiting on an entirely new company. going with pro smoke this time. too bad because if it wasnt for the quality control issues i would have stayed with this device!

madeline commented on August 23 2011:
Their customer service really sucks, I returned mine kit in Late July and still to date have not received a refund. I switched over to premium e cigarette and its the best I have found so far

Jamie commented on August 21 2011:
Yeah, half my refills in this batch are duds. I'm switching to ProSmoke As soon as these run out.

Tim commented on August 20 2011:
I agree with you on the filter issues some smoke great and well lets just say some dont. The worst part is in a five pack at least two are bad wich leads me to think the had some bad batches and instead of throwing them away they put a couple in each pack.

I will agree that the SC is good, I've been using then for 4 months. Ordering and deliveries are timely (they did run out of Traditional about a month ago and I had to scramble to change the order to Classic).

That experience and having a battery go bad has taught me that the have VERY poor customer service. On the 3 occasions that I've had an issue (and they were relatively small issues) they failed at each one...that is very bad customer service.

When my current supply of batteries (I have 3 left) fails, I will NOT go back to SC. They're product is to expensive not to have good customer service; and the lack of a phone number to calls proves to me that they really don't care about you after you spend your money.

If SafeCig would ship orders as soon as they are received, I would be one of their best customers, but, sadly, just like the eCig company we tried first, once they sell you the starter kit, you no longer matter to them. Who ever heard of an online company with no phone number for customer service? Good luck trying to get anything other than a computer-generated email if you want to know where your order is and why you never got a tracking number! Once they switched from Priority Mail to UPS, their shipping system died. Not UPS's fault, I'm sure. Now we are stuck with two sets of their most expensive starter kits, plus scads of accessories, because we thought we had finally found a good source, and if my order is not delivered today, which was order almost 2 weeks ago, we will be returning everything for a refund within the 30 day trial period...but I bet that won't go as they say it will either! Is there no reliable, friendly, honest company who will just sell me an electronic cigarette and refill cartridges, and ship them in a timely manner? (By the way, don't pay SafeCig extra to ship sooner.....they don't! They just charge you and ship when they feel like it. Can you tell that I am frustrated with this company? Do yourself a favor....shop elsewhere!

I will go to my bank and let then know I never received the product I paid for sad the customer service will not help I have sent 15 emails they just do not care, I bet the CEO would if he knew that HIS customers were being ripped off. i bought safcig in feb 2011,discovered a real problem with geting t cartridge refills, terrible customer service, wrote them about my concerns,no response..DONT BUY FROM THEM!!

Chris commented on June 09 2011:
I have researched a lot of ecigs and tried them too. This is by far the best. I have never had an issue in receiving within 3-4 days after ordering and I am on the east coast. Never had a problem with their customer service.Emails have been answered within 24 hours. I have been using this since Oct 2010 and have had 2 battery's go bad in that time I just emailed them, sent back my old ones and new ones were back in about a week at N/C so they do stand behind their product. They did have an issue with refills in Feb but that was due to a bad batch they received so they ran short Once that was fixed I have never had a problem since and I always get my refills in about 3 days after ordering. This is one of the best products out there with free shipping and lifetime warranty. No you can't get your cherry flavored refills but that is not trying to quit the smoking habit. Haven't had an analog since Oct 2010.

Mary in WI commented on March 16 2011:
I just sent my third e-mail; Possibly 3 is a charm :( B.t.w. Nancy ... Are you saying that Smoketip brand has better Customer Service, or this ecig? I wish I could recommend this e-cigarette ... I am still waiting for my order, which is supposed to be shipped by now according to the web site claims - I ordered it 6 days ago

Lita commented on March 16 2011:
I ordered the deluxe starter kit for my husband the last week of February. I received an e-mail the very same day confirming shipment of my order and a tracking #. I got the kit itself in the mail 2 days later. Although he had to get over his initial skepticism, my husband has grown to love his this e-cigs and I love being rid of the smell and filth of regular cigarettes in my home. I certainly hope the the snafus with ordering of refills are just anomalies and the quick turnaround I experienced is now the norm. If not, I will personally drive to Los Angeles, track down this product offices and physically pick up whatever supplies my husband requires before I let him go back to those nasty "cancer sticks".

Norma commented on March 16 2011:
Lita ~ I got the tracking # this afternoon! Like I said, he doesn't even know I ordered it yet, but I am just going to tell him to 'experiment' when the thing arrives. Hopefully, getting refills won't be an issue any longer and the company are able to overcome this hiccup. I wish I were closer to LA and I would drive, too; if he likes it I will order BULK refills - I have never smoked and he doesn't realize just how nasty cigarettes really are! Anyway, it is on the way and I will post again when it comes time to evaluate.

Norma commented on March 15 2011:
I ordered this a week ago for my husband (doesn't know yet), because I really can't stand the smell of smoke any more. After extensive research I decided on 'this device' .... Their site says that they will ship within 4 - 48 hours and e-mail you a tracking number. I e-mailed them, but no response 2 days ago. Aside from being apprehensive (What if this really works and he decided he likes it?) as to whether 2 cartridges is going to be enough to start using it, I am worried that I won't be able to get the refills fast enough. The last thing I need after years of trying to get him to at least cut down, is to have this alternative fail due to nonavailability. (They have my money and I am waiting ...)

Jordan commented on March 15 2011:
I am having the same problem. I ordered them a week ago and got no tracking # or anything. I emailed them twice in the past week and no responses. I also called and just pressed the number to order this brand so I could actually speak to a human being. I was told to email and when I said I had and got no response, the bitch hung up on me. I do not believe any of these people that say they get their product in 2 or 3 days or whatever. I am very skeptical about whether I will ever receive my product. At the very least, their customer service is horrendous....please update if and when you receive your shipment.

I'm very pleased with the products from this ecig, but I'm not sure that I will continue to order from this company due to their lack of customer service. Which is a shame! I'm not certain if this company is having growing pains or if this is how they conduct business. After purchasing my starter kit at the end of January (2011), I had to wait almost a month to order refill cartridges because they were out of stock. I paid for 2 day shipping which was $26 and still haven't received my order. For customer service issues, you can only communicate via email and it takes them 2-3 days minimum to respond and yes, all they give you is the run around. They make promises that they don't deliver. Great product, but not worth dealing with their product shortages and lack of customer service. I would rate their customer service a 0.

IamDIsapointed. commented on September 13 2011:
Been using SafeCig for almost 2 months and they have ran out of my refills twice in three weeks. They said it had never happened (running out of stock) before and now I read that it has happened many times before. The cartidges do vary in quality of product, I thought it was just me but now that enough time has passed I do see that the filters have different amounts in them. Time to move on to a better brand as this one is below par in both quality and customer service!

vovo commented on May 09 2011:
haven't read everything on this forum yet, but wanted to note that this e-cigarette customer service rocks (at least in my experience). They responded fast and with more information than I could have hoped for. I've only been a customer since Dec. '10, but haven't had a problem getting orders yet.

DeLyn commented on March 13 2011:
Hey yo yo... I do not work for this e-cig... I'd hope whom ever does knows more about computers than I do to use the correct terminology about forums or posts or whatever... you can believe me or not, do not give a POOP... however, I read that thingy about this products running out of stock in February on Electronic Cigarette Review go find, read it, then make up the conspiracy that I'm sleeping with the website's owner or manager and how that benefits this devices... I just seen some info and passed it on, stop being such a dork... and here is a hint... the world ain't out to get you, some people just post stuff for others to read and make decisions on their own. For all you who are wondering what other cig's I thought about buying... Smoke Tip cuz they were cheapest and seemed to have ok customer service, but when I went to buy them they were out of stock with most level of nicotine I'd use (and I ain't smoking cherry pie or Channel no. 5) plus I hated that they wanted to give me crap flavors in my starter kit. I also looked at Green Smoke, but I don't like 2 different size batteries... for a first time buyer of these cigs, I thought It would be nice to have 2 batteries up front and a yard stick to compare 2 of the same battery sizes... if one is bad I'd know, I wouldn't just think that is the big or small size issue. Any other rants you gotta say about who works for who? Keep it to yourself you putz! And because I believe there are a ton of people who do work in some fashion for a company, I know it's your job, but really -- is it worth wasting honest people's time? Unless you are just trying to waste the putz's time, then I'm way cool with that.

DeLyn commented on March 11 2011:
I read on another site about this problem... apparently, and this is just from what I read in posts, this brands ran out of stock (apparently the first, and per the owner who talked to the forum web dude, the last time it will ever happen). So the owner told this other "poster" that they changed their system so that it automatically looks at each month and takes the highest volume month and automatically reorders their stock when it hits 50%. Otherwise all other reviews I've read about SafeCigs have been excellent, and as a first time buyer (today) of e-cigs I'm buying this brand. In my extensive research I have seen many cig review sites list their top brands by who is paying the most to advertise... or maybe it's just a huge huge huge coincidence that that is happening.

Carol commented on March 10 2011:

orderd my refills on 31jan11 plus two wall chargers. 26feb11 and still nothing. out 157 dollars for that order plus the money i paid for all the stuff i had already purchased. two starter kits and extra batterys. not chump change. real shame as i really did like them. i had compaired them side by side with white cloud e cigs which are suposed to be the rolls royce of e cigs and safecig was a hands down winner. my next letter will be an attempt to get all my money back and find a new supplier.

I purchased the product around the first of the year and I do enjoy it but here are my issues. There is a significant inconsistency in the cartomizers. Rarely a single cartomizer will last for around 350 - 400 puffs but typically for me they last for about 180 - 200 puffs assuming and average of 14 puffs per cigarette the result is you typically get about 15 cigarettes per cartomizer. This is far from the 1.33 average of packs as shown on some review sites. People considering purchasing should be aware that perhaps owing to quality control issues with the cartomizers or something else you may not get the value you are looking for with this product.

The only two complaints that I have are leaking cartridges onto your lips. They do not have a 1-800 number for customer service ??'s or problems only through email. When the cartridges leak, you get alot less usage out of the cartridge.
