I've since upgraded to Revolver's Talon tank system, but every once in a while, I'll break out my Ion when the size of the Talon gets a little unwieldy. The PCC is rugged, and is still in working order after two years. Where the Ion really shines, though, is when you use an atomizer and drip tip and just drip your liquid directly onto the bridge. There's not an atomizer on the market that compares. The vapor production and flavor will knock your socks off. I usually use the plain black cartomizers if I'm driving and can't drip, so I have not encountered the "peeling" problem as posted under the Expert Review. Revolver's customer service is unbeatable. On the rare instances when I actually needed to get in touch with someone, they were helpful and quick on the ball to take care of me. Angie is the best! You really get the most bang for your buck going through Revolver. Their prices fall in line with most online retailers, but I think the versatility of the Ion, the quality of the parts, and the overall customer experience edges them out over any other vendor. Would definitely recommend them to all of my friends!

Revolvers' Talon Tank System is a manual operation, push button, electronic cigarette. The operation button on each device will light up when pressed and is also an incognito on/off switch. To turn the device on or off, simply push the button five times quickly. To verify the desired option is engaged, try to draw upon the device. This unique safety option prevents unwanted engagement when carried in a tote bag or purse and preserves battery power.

The Talon Tank System is well crafted from a metal alloy and will easily withstand the occasional drop or recurring movement in any bag. As an alternative, a neck sized lariat is included with each starter kit. One notable design flaw with the lariat has been observed. Once applied to either battery the power button will occasionally stick when pressed down. To remedy this insignificant issue it's necessary to loosen the atomizer piece slightly. Loosening this section prevents the metal lariat ring from interfering with up and down motion of the on/off switch. Other than this small issue, the included lariat holds the weight of the device securely and is a great accessory to use while hiking or to hold your device securely throughout the day.

Talon Tank is thicker in diameter than standard e-cigarettes, nearly half an inch wide and closely resembles the diameter of a traditional cigar. When holding the device I found it to have a distinct amount of weight, but nothing too over whelming for slim feminine fingers. Overall length of each vaping system is between 6 ¼ inches and 6 ¾ inches long depending on which battery is being used.

Two rechargeable batteries are included with each Talon Tank System. One is 650 mAh or 3.7 volts and the other is 1000 mAh. Batteries do arrive ready to use out of the box, although charging each battery entirely before initial use is highly recommended. Charging time, out of the box and for each recurring charge requires about four consecutive hours for the longer, 1000 mAh battery. Once charged the 1,000 mAh battery will provide about three-hundred puffs or just about one and a half packs of traditional cigarettes worth of vaping enjoyment. Include in each battery is a smart chip that will prevent over charging and the possibility of damage from unmonitored charging. Talon Tank rechargeable batteries provide optimal performance for approximately three months, with regular recharging sessions, before replacement is required.

All batteries perform a dual function as a passthrough. This is one of the great attributes implemented by Revolver for use with their Talon Tank electronic cigarette system. A passthrough, as a reminder, is an electronic cigarette that utilizes a USB cord instead of battery power to operate. The passthough function is simply an ingenious and supplemental option for all Talon Tank owners. Not only will intermittent use of this facet preserve battery juice, it's also a life saver if you're awaiting delivery of a replacement battery and don't own a back up electronic cigarette system.

When considering battery aesthetics, such as color, three options are available Pink, Black, or classic Stainless Steel. Coordinating colors for their semi-transparent, huge 1.1 ml tanks are also purchasable separately. I found the size of the Talons' tanks to be a welcomed design aspect. Their extra large capacity limited the amount of daily refills to just one and provided vaping enjoyment for an entire day.

All tanks are crafted with a no spill, no drip easy application reservoir. Personally, I found it difficult to remove the specially designed tank cap. Removal required the use of a steady hand and a sharp kitchen knife. After a few minutes of prying at the cap to successfully remove it, the space for refilling was uncovered and found to be enormous, which made refilling without accidental spillage simple. This special design would be helpful to anyone requiring the aide of eye glasses to view miniscule details. Alternatively, I found that aligning the tip from an e-liquid bottle with the delivery hole, at the base of the tank, was just as simple and didn't require the use of a blunt object.

Over all, Talons' exclusive use of double air circulation in each tank allows for a realistic pull and delivers vapor that's five times thicker than most standard sized electronic cigarettes. The throat hit is moderate and not at all over whelming, although individual results may differ slightly depending on the duration of pull.

Luckily, there's an assortment of economically priced items that may satisfy just about any type of vaping experience being sought.

The RV Ion kit with a $59.99 price tag buys: A choice of 2 batteries each with an Orange LED plastic tip, 1 portable charging case, 1 AC adapter, 1 USB to USB mini cable, 1 QR reader to view a user manual and 5 cartomizers in your specified flavor and Nicotine level. Everything arrives in a well organized Black gift box. Reading the fine print posted on the websites' warranty information has unveiled 3 product coverage options. However, they don't accept returns or exchanges.

One of the first noticeable aspects of the RV Ion E-Cigarette is the distinctive difference in how the cartomizer, battery and most accessories are made. Each Ion Cartomizer is created with a bit of extra material extending from the cartomizer. I will refer to this as a male attachment. Next, this company is proud to announce they are becoming a more Green company. Translation, printed manuals are no longer included with starter kits or any accessory. Instead, a card with a Quick Reader code and a web link is offered. Kudos for the Green Move! But what happens to the potential customers who don't have internet service? The best advice I can give is to ask the owner of the brick and mortar shop from which your kit was purchased if they would mind printing out a User Manual for you or visit a public library and print your own manual. If all options fail, don't fret. I found this e-cig kit and their accessories to be simple enough to use without instructions by my side.

The portable charger offered with this kit securely holds 2 batteries, charges 1 battery at a time and holds 6 cartomizers. The Ion charging case is about the size of a pack of cigarettes, making it convenient to carry anywhere. The case is well designed with the logo along one side, in white block letters and a black matte finish covering the entire case. An LED battery meter is located on the front with a flashlight cleverly concealed on the bottom of the case. The flashlight is turned on by pressing the left side of the single, long silver tone button below the LED battery meter for approximately 3 seconds and then turned off by clicking the same spot one time. When a battery requires charging the same silver tone button requires a right click for the same amount of time. At that point the case will start charging the battery. The LED light will turn red when charging is taking place then turn blue when the charge is complete. It's necessary to periodically right click the button to check the charging status, normally over 1 hour. If the battery doesn't need to be charged the LED battery meter will turn from red to blue very quickly. One battery is chargeable four times before the case needs to be recharged it's self.

The company provides a smorgasbord of vaping flavors to quench the palette of any e-cigarette user. There are 9 pre-made cartomizer flavors, each package is triple sealed for freshness and 1cartomizer is equal to 1 pack of cigarettes. Another 100 Nicotine flavored solutions are available in a choice of Propylene Glycol or Vegetable Glycerin, for those who have allergies to PG. The additional 100 flavors do require the purchase of a blank cartomizer kit and a flavor injection kit to create your own flavored cartomizers. Nicotine flavored liquid and pre-made cartomizers come in 4 Nicotine Potency Levels. The choices available are: Zero mg, 8 mg, 16 mg and 24 mg. Cartomizers are colored Black, Clear or Natural Brown with no distinguishing marks or numbers to differentiate one flavor from the other. This may become confusing if attempting to carry multiple flavors in the charging case at one time.

On a personal note, I used the Ion's 16 mg cartomizer with a manual battery. The manual battery functioned for 2 days before it needed to be charged. The throat hit was very strong at first then after a full day of use and some minor adjustments, it became more comfortable to use and produced a great deal of vapor. Flavoring was vivid during the first few inhalations then a decrease in flavor became more noticeable as usage continued. During usage, the paper wrapping around the cartomizer started to peel away. This mishap occurred on each cartomizer and has not yet occurred with any other brand. Overall, mixed feelings are bubbling regarding the RV Ion kit. The vast amount of options in accessories and vaping flavors appear to be excellent. Unfortunately, I'm perplexed over the construction of the device and exactly how convenient usage will be when ordering refill cartomizers and during long term use. My suggestion is to order more than the normally required cartomizers to assure vaping pleasure is not interrupted in the event of an unforeseen back order.

In conclusion, the this kit is best suited for an e-cigarette newbie who is curious about the e-cigarette world or a Veteran user seeking a one stop, e-cigarette shop that offers multiple choices in vaping flavor and accessories.
